In 2018, Georgian oil company Gulf Georgia and the two-time NBA champion Zaza Pachulia signed a memorandum of mutual cooperation. Promoting a healthy lifestyle among the youth is one of the top priorities of Gulf’s CSR policy. Therefore, as part of the Memorandum agreement, Gulf has undertaken, along with Zaza Pachulia, to open 20 basketball fields around entire Georgia.

The first Gulf basketball field named after Zaza Pachulia was opened in Tbilisi in 2018. That was followed by a basketball ground in Gori in 2019, and in Senaki in 2020. Also in 2020, a foundation was laid for a future field in Ozurgeti.
